Introduce yourself.
I am a French research student working on my Ph.D in the Okada Laboratory (RCAST), under the Japanese-French collaboration on new concepts program called “NextPV” (next generation of photovoltaics). I am very grateful to the Japanese government for giving me this opportunity via the MEXT scholarship.

What attracted you to Komaba, UTokyo?
Komaba campus is a great place for enjoying an active student life and at the same time being able to focus intensively on a research project.

Describe your transition to Komaba, UTokyo.
My transition to Komaba was very smooth because I was able to get a room in the Komaba Main Lodge very near the campus where I work. I don’t feel any pressure from my work colleagues, and on the contrary they do their best to make me feel comfortable.

What have been your best experiences at Komaba, UTokyo so far?
We had a demonstration of “Rakugo” in English which is a traditional kind of stand-up comedy. The guy was really passionate and did his best to convey his feelings to everybody. This is the kind of experience you find if you open up and listen to the people around you on Komaba campus.
