1 What made you decide to study overseas?
I had been vaguely thinking about going overseas, however it wasn't until I decided to major in English Literature and Theater, that, wanting to study in the birthplace of English, I decide to study abroad

2 Please tell us about the best experience you had studying abroad.
Broadly speaking, the best thing was being able to see many plays. At a pace of one play a week, I was able to see 63 plays, musicals, etc. Not only did this improve my English, but also I was able to study in depth various aspects of theater.

3 Please tell us about the hardest part of your overseas study.
The hardest thing was the mountain of weekly reading assignments. I often spent 7 or 8 hours a day reading close to 100 pages.

4 What types of classes did you take?
The Change in British and American Poetic Expression / British Theater of the Renaissance and Restoration / The 19th Century English Novel / Introduction to Critical Theory

5 What were you involved in outside of class? (Clubs, volunteering, internships etc.)
Going to plays, Japanese Cultural Club, Stage Crew Club, Cooking

6 How do you want to make use of your experience overseas?
I think English will be important for my future career, so I want to keep up my English level. Also, I want to be involved with classes and support for exchange students in Japan.

7 If you have any advice for students planning to study abroad, please tell us.
Although everyone's study abroad experience is different, I think if, like me, you fully devote yourself to study during your time abroad it can be particularly productive.

8 If you have anything else you want to say, including any experience that left an impression on you, please do so here.
Because we can never know what kind of danger there might be in the world, it`s important to always stay clear of dangerous situations.
