Global Praxis: RoboCon: Basic robotics amid a multicultural academic environment in Malaysia (A Semester)

Target participants: Junior Division students in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences
No registration required: You can go in & out during the session.
Language: Japanese or English (depending on the participants)
＊Enquiries: 21KOMCEE West B1F, Globalization Office (Open Weekdays 10:00~17:00) In the case that we receive more applications than spots in the program, we will take into account whether or not applicants attended the guidance seminar.
Flight fare: Approx. ¥70,000 (Students will make their payments approximately one month prior to the departure according to the invoices created by a travel company. The fare may change due to soaring fuel prices/exchange rates.)
Accomodation fees: Approx. ¥50,000 (The fee may change due to soaring fuel prices/exchange rates. The timing of the payment will be announced later by the course leader. (Tentative plan ->) The course participants will make their payments (in JPY) according to the invoice UTokyo will issue.)
Students must be responsible for their applications.
Students are responsible for their own cancellation fees upon being accepted as participants by the course leader.

Transportation to/from the Airport(s) in Japan
International travel insurance (10,000-20,000JPY)

Write a short reflection journal (200-250 words) every weekdays based on your professors’ instructions (Write about your experiences when no classes are scheduled) (reflecting on the knowledge and insights gained during the day).
Summarise your experience in 1500 words in English no later than 14 days after the end of the program.
Prepare a presentation for the local Malaysian students about what you have learned and researched in Malaysia (topics will be assigned to students in groups based on their suggestions and interest).
University student accomodation
Airport shuttle will take you to your accommodation upon your arrival. Malaysia has an efficient network of public transport, including buses and metro services. Out-of-campus destinations may be accessed by train or bus.
