Recruitment of Tour Guides for New International Students on the Komaba Campus

As part of the orientation program for new international students, we will conduct a "Campus Tour led by UTokyo Students" in September. For students who wish to try out for the campus tour guide, please fill out the application form below to apply. (We will inform you of the results by e-mail.)

Detailed Information

Job Description:
To introduce the main facilities in Komaba I Campus in English for international students in September. The tour will include a detailed explanation on how to use the library. (A manual for conducting the Library Tour will be provided.)
 
Date and Time:
14:00 - 15:30 Friday, September 14
14:00 - 15:30 Tuesday, September 18
*There will also be a one hour pre-meeting with the library staff to go over the manual and the places in the library to include in the tour. In regards to the schedule of the pre-meeting, the schedule will be coordinated so that all the applicants who have been selected will be able to attend. The meeting will take place in late August or early September.
 
Eligibility:
UTokyo Students
Fluent in Japanese with conversational ability in English to answer any questions from the international students.
*Exchange students who wish to apply must have a “Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted”, a permit that allows you to work.
 
Number of Guides Needed:
5 guides for September 14
15 guides for September 18
 
Remuneration:
JPY1,000/hour (tax included) × number of hours worked.
If you participate in the pre-meeting and the 1.5 hour guide remuneration will be JPY2500.
