Recruitment of Tour Guides for New International Students on the Komaba Campus (April, 2019)

As part of the orientation program for new international students, we will conduct a "Komaba I Campus Tour led by UTokyo Students" in April. For students who wish to be a tour guide, please fill out the application form below to apply. (We will inform you of the results by e-mail.)

Detailed Information

Job Description:
To introduce the main facilities in Komaba I Campus in English for international students in April. The tour will include a detailed explanation on how to use the library. (A manual for conducting the Library Tour will be provided.)
 
Date and Time:
13:30 - 15:00  Wednesday, April 3
*There will also be a one hour pre-meeting with the library staff to go over the manual and the places in the library to include in the tour. (The meeting will be conducted ONLY in Japanese.) The schedule of the pre-meeting will be coordinated so that all the applicants who have been selected will be able to attend. The meeting will take place in late March. (Students who worked as Komaba I Campus tour guides before do not need to attend this meeting.)
 
Eligibility:
-UTokyo Students
-Fluent in Japanese with conversational ability in English to answer questions from the international students
-Possess a thorough knowledge of the Komaba I Campus
*International students who wish to apply must have a “Permission to Engage in Activity Other Than That Permitted under the Status of Residence Previously Granted” (資格外活動許可), a permit that allows you to work.
 
Number of Guides Needed: About 10 students
 
Remuneration:
JPY1,000/hour (tax included) × number of hours worked.
If you participate in the pre-meeting and the 1.5 hour guide remuneration will be JPY2500.
