Robocon!: Basic robotics amid a multicultural academic environment in Malaysia
Robocon class was the first-time large-scale activity for me to conduct in cooperation with foreign people in English. I was also not familiar with programing and a lot of trouble occurred to our robot, so sometimes I felt it was difficult but we managed to overcome the problem one by one and finally completed the task. Through this activity, I could foster the relationship with my teammates. It was a bit hard but very exciting experience for me. I think this experiment will owe me more confidence when I do something international in the future.Additionally, UTM students took us to various places after class and on weekends. We could experience a lot of local foods and culture. We had the precious experience which we cannot experience only by Japanese students. By sharing a lot of time and experience with UTM students, we could get to know more deeply about each other and each other`s country and culture.
When we do international task in the future, not every co-worker will be as kind, friendly, interested in Japan as UTM students so it will not so go well as this course. However, I believe we can perform better with this experience than without this experience, so I would like to make good use of this experience and the friendship we made at Malaysia in the future. I think I spent fulfilling two weeks.
