Individual Tutorial System
The Individual Tutor System is designed to support international students in their first year after entering the College of Arts and Sciences or the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences. To help international students adapt smoothly to campus life as early as possible, each student is matched with an individual tutor. Tutors are Japanese students or international students who have experience studying at the Komaba Campus. They provide support in both academic and research activities, as well as daily life in Japan.*Eligible students include: undergraduate first-year students, newly enrolled master’s and doctoral students, international research students, KOMSTEP students, and USTEP‑G students.
I.Types of Individual Tutors

Alternatively, students can be matched with a registered tutor through the International Student Section. - The program can be used for up to one year after enrollment.
- If the International Students’ Advisory Room deem it necessary, the support period may be extended up to two years.
